On Tuesday the speakers PACE Monitoring Committee Pedro Agramunt and Joseph Gresh met with representatives of the opposition parties in Azerbaijan.
According to the head of the Democratic Party, Sardar Jalaloglu , the meeting discussed the results of the presidential elections, the issue of political prisoners and democracy.

When the opposition talked about the opposition political prisoners, the co-rapporteurs required to submit lists."Such meetings are already formal, the Council of Europe has lost its identity as a democratic institution, organization has been demoralized," Jalaloglu said.
Head of the "classical" Popular Front Party Mirmahmud Miralioglu reported that the rapporteurs was presented a paper on law violations during the elections. In response to reporters began to ask formal questions.
"I believe that in such meetings are not necessary. How would we explain to them is not their position , they still argue and defend their position of power," said Miralioglu.
Executive Secretary of the REAL Movement, Natig Jafarli, also criticized the approach of speakers.
They behaved disingenuously , that for example manifested in their question : "Is Ilgar Mamedov still in prison?"
