PACE President to visit Azerbaijan
On 22-23 May PACE President Anne Brasseur will visit Azerbaijan to participate in the meetings of the Bureau and the Standing Committee of the PACE.
During the visit, Brassor will have meetings with the President, Prime Minister, Speaker of Parliament and Foreign Affairs, representatives of civil society, the press service of the PACE. On May 23 Brassor will hold a press conference.-16D-

Tofig Yagublu, member of the National Council of Democratic Forces and Musavat Party Tofig Yagublu, detained in Baku pre-trial detention center-1, has deteriorated. However, he is not undergoing a medical examination. This was reported to Turan by the politician's daughter Nigar Hazi after a telephone conversation with her father.

"Platform III of the Republic" issued a statement in which it expressed its attitude to the extraordinary elections to Milli Majlis scheduled for 1 September. The structure initially considers these elections not legitimate. Justifying its position, the "Platform" draws attention to the absence of a democratic electoral environment.

Magdalena Grono, former diplomatic adviser to President Charles Michel, has been appointed the new EU representative in the South Caucasus, replacing Toivo Klaar, who has been appointed EU Ambassador to Uzbekistan.
