Pashinyan's statements hinder settlement process – Lavrov
Baku/23.09.20/Turan: On September 23, Moscow hosted a meeting between the Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Sahiba Gafarova, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
During the conversation, which mainly concerned the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict, Lavrov said that the statements of the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Nagorno-Karabakh interfere with the conflict settlement process, reads the official message of the Milli Majlis about the meeting between Lavrov and Gafarova.
According to the same source, Lavrov further said that he was expressing Moscow's official position. Russia is in favor of liberating five regions around Karabakh, bringing peacekeepers into the region and restoring transport communications.
There are no such statements by Lavrov in the official message of the Russian Foreign Ministry about this meeting. -02D-
