People�s Republic of China (PRC) supports territorial integrity of Azerbaijan - Wang Yi (UPDATED)
Baku / 23.05.19 / Turan: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev today received a delegation led by Foreign Minister of the People"s Republic of China Van I.
The head of state stressed that the visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi demonstrates a very high level of cooperation between Azerbaijan and China.
Baku constantly supports the PRC in matters of importance to it, the report said on the president"s website.
According to Aliyev, the political ties between the two countries are at a high level, and cooperation in the trade and economic sphere has good prospects.
At the same time, he recalled his meeting last month in Beijing with Chinese President Xi Jingping, in the framework of the International Forum "One Belt, One Way."
Azerbaijan was one of the first to support this initiative of the PRC.
The transport infrastructure created by Azerbaijan can be used for transportation within the framework of the One Belt, One Road Project.
In turn, the Chinese Foreign Minister noted that the Chinese-Azerbaijani relations are of a strategic nature, and his country supports the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
During the conversation, the availability of wide opportunities for cooperation between Azerbaijan and China within the framework of the One Belt, One Road Project was emphasized, and a broad exchange of views was held on the development of ties in the field of transport, energy, industry, tourism and information and communication technologies. -06D- -
