Rally in Support of Jamil Hasanli in Sheki
The presidential candidate of the National Council, Jamil Hasanli, arrived in Sheki city, in the north-west of the country, to meet with local voters. Upon his arrival, he visited the grave of a prominent poet, Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh.
Hasanli’s pre-election rally began at 16:30 at the Driving School yard on the outskirts of the city. Provocative groups of women chanting slogans tried to prevent the rally. Their actions caused indignation for the opposition members, who demanded their removal; otherwise, they threatened to make a procession to the city center. After that, the police removed the provocateurs. Several hundred people were involved in the rally.—06D--
