Representatives of Jewish Community in Azerbaijan Meeting in America
In Los Angeles, February 3 there was a meeting of representatives of the Jewish community of Azerbaijan with a city councilman Paul Koretz. The Azerbaijani delegation included MP Yevda Abramov, the Chairman of the Community of Mountain Jews of Azerbaijan Milih Yevdayev, the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Communities Gunduz Ismailov, and the rabbi of the synagogue of the Mountain Jews Abraham Yakubov. It is reported by the Consulate of Azerbaijan in Los Angeles.
During the meeting, representatives of the Jewish community of Azerbaijan spoke about the conditions created in the country of residence for the Jews, referring to the issues of tolerance and stability.
Note that the meeting took place at the initiative of the Azerbaijani Consulate in Los Angeles. February 2 representatives of the Azerbaijani delegation met with members of the American Committee of Public Relations with Israel and the Jewish Committee of America, as well as professors and students of the Jewish center Hillel in the University UCLA. -06D--
