Russia Did Not Monopolize Karabakh Settlement - Zakharova
Will the OSCE Minsk Group be involved in the Karabakh conflict settlement? This question was posed to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova at a briefing in Moscow, in the light of allegations that Russia took the lead in resolving the conflict.
Responding to the question, Zakharova said the meeting of the three Presidents in St. Petersburg "disavowed all fears that Russia has come up with a new format to solve the problem, pushing aside the OSCE Minsk Group to participate in the negotiation process."
Representatives of the co-chairing countries were informed, and we are not talking about any awareness after the fact, on the contrary, the issues were studied and the co-chairs were well informed before the meeting, Zakharova said.
In the form and content all the potential accumulated in the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group is preserved and if the parties themselves and colleagues from Europe and America praised the meeting in St. Petersburg and spent effort, it is the best proof that it was useful, Zakharova concluded. -02D-
