In Baku Detention Center No 1 in Kurdakhani the rights of the deputy chairman of the Popular Front Party Fuad Gahramanli are violated. Turan was told by his lawyer Nemat Karimli.
In connection with the completion of the preliminary investigation, Gahramanli acquainted with the case materials. However, the prisoners confiscated the copy of the case sent to him by the lawyer. It is a violation of the rights of the opposition activist to effective defense in the upcoming trial.
Recall that Gahramanli was arrested on charges of calling for the violent seizure of power and inciting hatred. The basis for such serious accusations is publication by Gahramanli on his page on Facebook, in which he called on residents of the village of Nardaran to assert their rights.
Human rights activists and colleagues of Gahramanli consider him a political prisoner.
Amnesty International declared him a prisoner of conscience. -06B-

On December 25, an Embraer 190 passenger plane operated by Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC (AZAL), on a Baku–Grozny flight, crashed near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Aktau, Ayxan Suleymanlı, stated that the plane had 67 people onboard, including crew members, 38 of whom died. According to him, 26 of the deceased were Azerbaijani citizens.
