Russia launches new missile from the Caspian Sea
The Russian Armed Forces launched intercontinental ballistic and cruise missiles simultaneously from the Plesetsk cosmodrome, submarines of the Northern and Pacific Fleet, the Caspian Flotilla boats, and aircraft Tu-160. According to the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry, the launches are planned to test the control system.
The launching of rockets was made from submarine "Bryansk" and "Podolsk" in the Barents Sea and the Sea of Okhotsk, from Plesetsk, from a missile boat "Great Ustyug" in the Caspian Sea, which launched for the teaching purpose a cruise missile "Calibre".
It is not reported from what part of the Caspian Sea the rocket was launched.
