Russian-Azerbaijani Inter-regional Forum in Baku
On November 1 the VII Russian-Azerbaijani inter-regional forum opened in the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku.
The event was attended by representatives of central and regional authorities of the two countries, as well as parliamentarians and representatives of various business sectors.
During the forum, plenary sessions and round tables on agriculture, tourism and humanitarian issues will be held.
The Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed a greeting to the participants of the meeting.
"The Forum develops the traditions of trust and understanding, based on the common pages of our history and helps to increase integration and mutually beneficial cooperation. The issues discussed here include the expansion of economic and financial cooperation and the deepening cooperation ties in scientific, educational and cultural spheres,” the greeting said. -02D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times. According to relatives, the police conducted a search of her apartment.
