Rustam Ibrahimbekov urged the opposition to go to elections with multiple candidates
The presidential candidate of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF), screenwriter Rustam Ibrahimbekov urged members of this body to go to elections with multiple candidates. This is necessary in light of the threat of not registering Ibrahimbekov as a candidate for the presidency.
"Before the elections in Azerbaijan less than two months remains. I do my best to expedite the process of deciding on my way out of Russian citizenship.
There are other ways to remove obstacles to the registration of me as a candidate.
This issue is treated by an international group of lawyers. However, given the threat of not checking me as the only candidate for President, I believe correct the nomination of several candidates by members to the National Council - political parties, movements and initiative groups," the press service of NCDF said, citing the appeal from Ibrahimbekov to NCDF.
In this case, according to Ibrahimbekov, the National Council will decide which of the registered candidates from the democratic forces should be supported as the primary candidate.
In the view of Ibrahimbekov, "this development will contribute to the success of the democratic opposition."
However, he stressed the need to preserve the solidity of NCDF.
"Only then we can hope for the support from international forces. For my part, for a positive solution of this question I am going to fight with invincible determination," stated Ibrahimbekov in conclusion. -06D -
