Baku|/21.11.23/Turan: Early in the morning of November 21, a search was completed at the apartment of the editor-in-chief of the online publication “Abzas Media” Sevinj Vagifgyzy. After the search, she was taken to the Main Police Department of the city of Baku. During the search, no illegal items were found, said lawyer Elchin Sadigov.
According to him, investigative measures will be carried out at 9.00.
Vagifgyzy herself said that “all these events” are related to her journalistic activities and the work of Abzas Media.
Vagifgyzy was detained on November 21 at the Baku airport upon arrival from abroad.
On November 20, Abzas Media director Ulvi Hasanli was detained. He was charged with smuggling foreign currency.—21S06-
