Baku/25.03.22/Turan: Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov discussed by phone ways to stabilize the worsened situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. The Russian Defense Ministry told reporters, TASS reported.
"Owing to the aggravation of the situation in the zone of the peacekeeping operation in Nagorno-Karabakh, Russian Defense Minister Army General Sergei Shoigu had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov on March 25. The heads of the Defense Ministries discussed ways to stabilize the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh and maintain security in Transcaucasia," the military department said.
They stressed that the sides exchanged views on the progress of the peacekeeping operation and the humanitarian situation in the zone.-06B-
