Seventeen More Infected with COVID-19 Detected
Baku / 28.03.20 / Turan: In Azerbaijan, another 17 infected with the Corona Virus COVID-19 were detected. One patient died, according to the report of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers.
In particular, a patient born in 1951 fell ill with a severe form of bilateral pneumonia. He suffered from third-degree respiratory failure.
The patient’s medical history also indicated coronary heart disease, chronic cardiomyopathy, as well as his undergoing angioplastic surgery (stent placement). Analysis of the samples for COVID-19 gave a positive result.
Measures to stabilize and resuscitate the patient did not yield results.
Currently, members of his family and those who were in contact with him are being quarantined.
There are 163 active patients with the Corona Virus in the special treatment hospital. The condition of 23 patients is grave, 17 are moderately severe, and the rest are stable. Necessary measures are being taken to treat the patients.
Over the past period, over 25 thousand people were tested for infection with COVID-19.
It should be noted that in Azerbaijan the fourth infected person has already died from the Corona Virus. At the same time, 15 people recovered. -0-
