Sheikh denounces the enemies of the Iranian-Azerbaijani friendship
The head of the Caucasus Muslims Department, Sheikh Pashazade received today at his residence, the Vice-President of Iran Seyid Hassan Mousavi and people accompanying him on a trip to Azerbaijan.
Pashazade noted active development of relations between Iran and Azerbaijan, which some “enemies” try to prevent. According to him, leaders of the two states do not have personal problems, and the existing problems can be resolved.
Referring to the arrest and detention in Iran for four months the two Azerbaijani writers, Sheikh said " there was more noise, than the arrest itself."
At the same time, he expressed his gratitude to Mousavi for the release of writers, and invited him to come back to Azerbaijan.
In his response, Mousavi said he was satisfied with the warm reception in Baku
He expressed the belief that the friendly relations between the two countries will continue to develop. He said that Iran strongly supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, and on this occasion, a special statement of the Non-Aligned Summit was adopted.
"But as soon as we start to approach the enemies come up with intrigue, but no one can quarrel the two brothers," said Mousavi. Sheikh presented the guest gifts.
The Vice-President of Iran is in Baku to participate in an international conference on cultural heritage. -05C-
