Situation on Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in Karabakh escalates
Baku/22.08.23/Turan: Azerbaijani serviceman Nazarov Ismet Ramiz oglu was wounded as a result of shooting from the territory of Armenia, the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan reported on August 22. The wounded man received first aid and was evacuated to a military medical facility. His life is not in danger, the press release says.
"The units of the Azerbaijani army are taking decisive retaliatory measures. We declare that the entire responsibility for consequences of the provocations committed by the Armenian side lies with the military-political leadership of Armenia," the Ministry of Defense reported.
The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry also reported on the neutralization of technical surveillance and listening devices on supply routes and territories close to the combat positions of the Azerbaijani army in Karabakh.
As a result of the measures taken on August 21 to ensure the safety of Azerbaijani servicemen, up to 30 technical surveillance and listening devices belonging to Armenian armed formations were disabled.
In turn, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported that an Armenian soldier was killed as a result of shooting from the Azerbaijani side on the southern section of the interstate border. -06B-
