State Security Service rejects presence of foreign bio-laboratories in Azerbaijan
Baku/07.05.22/Turan: "Recently, representatives of the Russian Federation voiced a number of views on the work of biological research centres in Azerbaijan, allegedly with the financial support of third countries within the framework of international activities. These views, expressed without any facts, raise some concern among the public of our country". A statement issued by the Azerbaijani State Security Service on 7 May reads.
"Scientific centres of this sort have never operated in Azerbaijan, nor studies conducted that might harm the health of the population or citizens of neighbouring countries. It is very regrettable that such information is voiced at international events, including in such a reputable organization as the UN, without examining the position of the Azerbaijani side," the statement stresses.
The Azerbaijani Security Service expresses its readiness to investigate specific facts presented by the other side should they be presented, the statement says.
At the same time, the document does not specify where and when such allegations were voiced. -02D-
