Armenian President Vahagn Khachatryan
Statement that Karabakh cannot be part of Azerbaijan deprives Yerevan of maneuvering - President
Baku/24.06.22/Turan: "If you declare that Nagorno-Karabakh cannot be a part of Azerbaijan, you are deprived of the right to maneuver," Armenian President Vahagn Khachatryan said in an interview with Public Television.
Various members of the opposition demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan demand that the authorities issue such a statement. They consider as a betrayal the Pashinyan's statement that any status guaranteeing the security and rights of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh would be the solution for Armenia.
"We must be able to distinguish politics and diplomacy from populism and public statements. The Prime Minister had the courage to say it openly, but what's wrong with that? Not everything needs to be talked about publicly," the President said. -02D-
