T. Abbasly: White Bloc to Bring New Figures to Political Scene
On Sunday, a group of young activists announced the creation of an electoral association called White Bloc, which included a number of young activists of the opposition parties.
As one of the cofounders, former "prisoner of conscience" Tural Abbasly explained to Turan IA, the decision to establish this association was due to the fact that people have lost faith in the opposition, seeing “black spots” in the past of each of its leaders.
"Therefore, there is a need to bring new figures, who have a clean past and no complaints about their political activities, to the political scene. Hence the name White Bloc,” he said.
The association has no particular form or clear structure of management. The bloc includes those who intend to run for parliament and their supporters.
Today, eight people plan to run as candidates from the White Bloc - Abbasly himself and other "prisoners of conscience" - Ahad Mammadli, Rufat Hajibeyli, etc. -05B06-

During the winter session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) that opened today in Strasbourg, the issue of restoring Azerbaijan's voting rights will not be considered.
