Tamerlan Karayev appointed ambassador to Lithuania (UPDATED)
Baku / 13.12.18 / Turan: President Ilham Aliyev signed an order today on the recall of Tamerlan Garayev from the post of Azerbaijani ambassador to Indonesia and part-time in the Philippines and East Timor. By another decree of the head of state, Garayev was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Lithuania. A 66-year-old Garayev has headed various diplomatic missions of Azerbaijan with a short break since 1993.
In 1993-2001, he was the ambassador of Azerbaijan to the People's Republic of China, in 2004-2011 - in India, and since 2011 - in Indonesia. -06d--

Tamerlan Karayev appointed ambassador to Lithuania
Baku / 13.11.18 / Turan: Tamerlan Garayev was recalled from the post of Azerbaijani ambassador to Indonesia, as well as to the Philippines, Timor-Leste, and Singapore.
President Ilham Aliyev issued a decree on December 13.
According to the order, T.Garayev was also recalled from the post of Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
By another decree of the President, T. Garayev was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Lithuania.
T. Garayev was the chairman of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan in 1990-1991. First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council 1991-1993, in 1993-2001 he worked as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to China and from 2004-2011 in India. -0-
