Baku / 27.04.18 / Turan: On Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
As the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry reported, topical issues of the bilateral relations were discussed. The ministers also touched upon preparations for the 5th Caspian Summit and the forthcoming signing of the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian.
"Several aspects of the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement were also touched upon," the report said.
Recall that the day before Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian arrived in Moscow and discussed the situation on the contact line in Karabakh with Lavrov.
The Armenian side does not hide that it fears the outbreak of hostilities by Azerbaijan against the backdrop of destabilization of the political situation in Armenia.
According to experts, Moscow is trying to keep Azerbaijan from such a step and the recent visit of the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Russia Sergei Naryshkin to Baku also had the goal of convincing Baku not to start a war. -02D-

Official Baku has condemned the visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the Azerbaijan-Armenia border during his official visit to Armenia. By another decree from the head of state, Khamila Dadashzade has been appointed as the new rector of the institution. Previously, she headed the Department of Music History and Theory at the Azerbaijan State University of Culture and Arts. Dadashzade is a member of the Union of Composers of Azerbaijan.
