Baku / 19.10.20 / Turan: The Armenian Armed Forces, grossly violating the announced ceasefire, continued intensive rocket and artillery shelling of Azerbaijani settlements on October 19, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office reported today.
As a result of shelling in the Terter region, a resident of the village of Alaskarli, Niyaz Huseynaly Oglu Salimov, born in 1962, was wounded, and his house was seriously damaged. In addition, as a result of the shelling, serious damage was caused to 25 houses in the villages of Yukhari Giyameddinli and Garakhanly of the Agjabedi region.
Since the beginning of hostilities on September 27, 60 civilians of Azerbaijan have been killed and more than 270 wounded, the report said. -0-

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) today issued five rulings on applications from Azerbaijan. The case of "Afgan Mammadov v. Azerbaijan" concerned the complainant's exclusion from the Bar Association. Mammadov was expelled based on a complaint filed by a colleague, which he considered unjust. The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.
