The Armenian side rejects the existence of a preliminary agreement on Karabakh
The Armenian party has not discussed with the OSCE Minsk Group the possibility and timing of the summit on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, said a spokesman for the Armenian President Vladimir Akopian. "At this stage, the parties and the co-chairs have not discussed the possibility and timing of meetings at the highest level," said Akopian.
According to him, in the coming days the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will visit Armenia. This will be a good opportunity to continue discussions on the Russian approach to the resolution and to consider the prospects of the negotiation process, "the main part of which, of course, is the realization of the right of Nagorno Karabakh people to self-determination," said Akopian.
This statement was made the reports that President Putin personally intends to control the Karabakh settlement. Meanwhile, the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan has left for Nagorno-Karabakh today. Moreover, he defiantly flew by a military helicopter landing and landed at Khojaly airport. Notably, in the days of hostilities Sargsyan did not appear in Karabakh. -02D-
