Activities of government, deception of citizens by mobile operators, regional relations, and the situation in trade are the leading topics of today's press.
The Azadlig writes that all the promises of the authorities about great transformations did not materialize, as the crisis deepened in the past period.
The establishment of several new offices did not have any effect, as all these measures are imitating, while real reforms are not carried out.
Monopoly, corruption and senseless projects have not been canceled and all of them are valid. The article also refers to the foreign trade of the country, which fell by almost 40% in the first three months of this year.
The Echo writes about the activities of local mobile operators, daily violating the rights of their clients. The judge Nariman Agayev says that mobile operators cheat their customers mainly in the Internet. Local mobile operators monthly withdraw about 200 thousand manats from the accounts of their subscribers. On average, some 15-20 kopecks are written off the accounts of the subscribers in 2-3 days. At least 20% of the subscribers are faced with this problem.
The Novoye Vremya talks about the Eastern Partnership. In the article there is no clear relation to the subject. However, it is felt that now the Eastern Partnership is not so interesting, but there was a time when this was a matter of considerable interest. The author also argues what membership in the Eastern Partnership could give, as it does not provide for either the development of democracy, or economic integration. Thus, the signing of agreement on strategic cooperation with the EU does not meet the national interests of Azerbaijan. The main objective of this cooperation is energy projects.
The Bizim Yol writes about the situation with shopping facilities rented out. An employee of the Sadarak Shopping Centre Ali Mamedov argues that there is practically no trade. All the vehicles parked opposite the mall are owned by the employees and purchased mainly on credit.
The situation is also grim in the clothes sector. The trade is very weak, but the traders have to pay the rent. Therefore, the traders insist on reducing the rent. Today, the rent in the largest shopping center of the city ranges from 250-350 to 1,000-2,500 manats.

Baku, often called the "Caucasian Dubai," is increasingly known for systematic violations of residents' housing rights. During urban renovations and the construction of elegant new buildings, thousands of families in Azerbaijan’s capital have been unlawfully deprived of their homes. Many, recognizing the futility of resistance, settle for inadequate monetary compensation for their irreplaceable property. A minority, placing faith in the Housing Code, demand fair compensation from construction companies but often lose everything—both their homes and any form of recompense.
