The blockade of the Lachin corridor continues
Baku/12.12.22/Turan: At 17:00 on Monday, the blockade by Azerbaijani activists of the Lachin corridor in the area near the city of Shusha continues. According to representatives of the Azerbaijani media from the scene, a crane was brought to the road, and the flag of Azerbaijan was installed on it.
According to Armenian sources, more than 100 Armenians remained blocked on the section of the road from Lachin to the city of Shusha. This happened after the peacekeepers closed the entrance to the Lachin corridor from Armenia.
The road has been closed for 7 hours. Despite the demands of the action participants, the commander of the Russian peacekeepers never arrived at the scene.
Serious excesses between peacekeepers and Azerbaijani activists were not recorded, however, verbal skirmishes and jostling took place.
At a certain moment, the Azerbaijani special-purpose forces stood between the activists and the peacekeepers, pushing the Russian military back and not giving them the opportunity to push the activists out of the way. According to unofficial data, intensive negotiations between Baku, the command of peacekeepers, Moscow and Yerevan continue. Apparently, no one is going to retreat yet.
The activists have set up tents where they plan to take turns on duty, hot meals and tea are also organized there. -02B
