The Council of Europe is ready to become a bridge between Azerbaijan and Armenia
Baku/04.04.22/Turan: On Monday, the head of state Ilham Aliyev received Secretary General of the Council of Europe Maria Pechinovich-Burich. Issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe were discussed, and in particular the Bilateral Cooperation Plan for 2022-25.
According to the official report, Aliyev informed the Secretary General of the Council of Europe about proposals to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, about the situation in the liberated territories.
According to Aliyev, "The Council of Europe could play the role of a platform in the process of building trust between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as building an integrated region of the South Caucasus."
In turn, Pecinovic-Buric said that the Council of Europe is ready to play the role of such a bridge and find ways to build trust between Azerbaijan and Armenia. -02D-
