The court leaves the deputy chairman of APFP in custody
Today Nasimi Court dismissed the petition of the deputy chairman of the Popular Front Party (PFPA) Fuad Gahramanli to replace the arrest to house arrest. Protection intends to file an appeal. Gahramanli was arrested on December 8, 2015 on charges of public appeals against the state, national, racial and religious hatred. In particular, Gahramanli is charged with incitement to illegal actions in Nardaran after his arrest there the leader of the "Muslim unity" Thale Bagirzade. The lawyer Nemat Karimli called the charges absurd. According to him, the prosecution has seen "crime" in the statements by Gahramanli that believers should fight against injustice, not to mourn Imam Huseyn in Ashura.
No investigative actions were taken against Gahramanli. The PPFA is convinced that Gahramanli was arrested for consistent and principled struggle for the democratization of Azerbaijan.-06B0--
