The delegation of the Bundestag in Baku
On Thursday, President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation led by Karin Shtrents, the chairman of the German Bundestag Friendship Group on the South Caucasus. Aliyev noted the high level of bilateral relations and the importance of mutual visits for the further expansion of such cooperation. Karin Shtrents in turn, expressed a desire to watch the European games, which will be held in Baku in June. "We will try to avoid double standards to provide a fair position. Double standards cause our concern too," she said.
Ilham Aliyev said that the unfair position on the eve of the first European games is not consistent with the spirit and the Charter of the Olympic Games, and the double standards have negative impact on public opinion.
The meeting participants touched upon the cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union in the energy sector, stressed the importance of major energy projects - TANAP and TAP, the Karabakh settlement. -02D-
