"The diplomatic scandal" can be initiated for dismissing Mammadyarov
Under modern realities of the Azerbaijani authorities such a dramatic statement of the diplomat about state officials, is surprising. Officials of all spheres and at all levels cannot express their opinion, said the head of the Centre for Research "East-West" Arastun Orujlu commenting scandalous publication in of the Azerbaijani diplomat, representatives of the OIC in the EU Arif Mamedov on Facebook.
Orujlu believes that the article did not appear by accident. Moreover, that Mamedov several other diplomats also supported Mamedov. What made them to take this step? Answering this question, Orujlu put forward three possible versions:
- racks in the power system, and a statement by Mamedov is a manifestation of this process;
- process initiated by external factors;
- deliberate launch of the far-reaching processes inside government. Orujlu things about the third version.
According Orujlu, the purpose of all this is the deliberate discrediting of the Foreign Ministry leadership, with further displacement of Elmar Mammadyarov from his post as minister. For this, the government can "sacrifice" a few diplomats.
In turn, chairman of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) Jamil Hasanli believes that the scandal around Arif Mammadov is a provocation by Eynulla Fatullayev. Hasanli said that at one time the Foreign Ministry has made a "contribution" to the arrest of Fatullayev, and now the latter wants to "take revenge."
Hasanli said that Mammadov's statement about the fire on May 19 does not differ much from those of the government.
Everyone knows that the cause of the fire is a bureaucratic negligence, and everyone who was involved, regardless of position, must be punished - this is the general consensus, said Hasanli.
Therefore, persecution diplomat in pro-government media and the beginning of an official investigation against him is unreasonable.
Publication of Mammadov on Facebook is a normal reaction of the Azerbaijani intelligentsia to an event that shook the country and numerous victims. "Such an attitude can only command respect," said Hasanli.-06C05-
