The first 20 families return to Zabuh
Baku/07.08.23/Turan: The State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons held a draw today for the distribution of apartments between families who will be resettled at the first stage in the village of Zabukh of Lachin region.
According to the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons , 20 families (88 people) took part in the draw. In accordance with the numerical composition of the family, 4 of them are provided with two-room, 4 - three-room, 8 - four-room, 4 - five-room individual houses.
In the coming days, they will be resettled in Zabuh, from where the Azerbaijani population was expelled during the occupation of the Lachin region in May 1992. ---06D---

On December 24, the Chairman of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, met with a parliamentary delegation from Georgia headed by the Chairman of the Committee on Youth, Science, and Education, Givi Mikanadze. On December 24, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to congratulate him on his birthday. According to the Azerbaijani president’s website, Erdogan also congratulated Aliyev on Azerbaijan’s election as a member of the Organization for Economic Cooperation of eight developing countries (D-8). In turn, Aliyev expressed gratitude to Turkey for its support of Azerbaijan in this matter.

The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, announced the creation of a council that, according to her, will focus on preparing for new parliamentary elections.
