Baku/28.10.23/Turan: On October 28, a telephone conversation took place between the Foreign Ministers of Russia and Azerbaijan, Sergei Lavrov and Jeyhun Bayramov.
As the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a press-release, the heads of foreign affairs departments discussed current issues of bilateral relations, regional and international agendas.
“The need to increase efforts to normalize relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia was confirmed on the basis of a set of trilateral agreements at the highest level for 2020-2022, including the preparation of a peace treaty, unblocking transport communications and delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border,” the statement said.
Note that this is the second discussion of this topic between Lavrov and Bayramov in the last four days. The last time Lavrov and Bayramov discussed issues of a peace agreement between Baku and Yerevan was on October 24.
