
The head of Azerbaijan awarded Friendship Order to Sergey Naryshkin, and Mikhail Shvydkoi
President Ilham Aliyev received July 8 the delegation headed by Chairman of State Duma of the Russian Federation Sergey Naryshkin. Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the fact that one of his first foreign visits on his new post Naryshkin made to Azerbaijan.
Noting that bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Russia are developing dynamically, the President said that these relations are based on a long history of cooperation, friendship and mutual support.
President Ilham Aliyev stressed the importance of the visit of the Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Sergey Naryshkin to Azerbaijan from the point of discussing issues of further expansion of mutual political relations and cooperation between the two countries in economic, humanitarian, inter-parliamentary and other areas. The Head of State expressed his confidence that the visit will be successful.
Naryshkin also stressed the need for further development of cooperation between the two countries, including through inter-parliamentary relations.
After the meeting, a ceremony of awarding the Dostlug (Friendship) Order to the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Sergey Naryshkin and the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on International and Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi was held. - 06D-
