Baku/21.12.23/Turan: Issues of Azerbaijani-Iranian relations were discussed today at a meeting between Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Samir Sharifov and Iranian Ambassador to Baku Seyid Abbas Mousavi. According to the Iranian Embassy, the parties discussed the developlment of bilateral ties in political, economic, military and other fields, events in the Caucasus region and efforts to achieve lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
There was also an exchange of views on various forms of regional cooperation in the Caucasus, the implementation of joint projects in the field of energy and transport. In addition, banking and consular issues and other topics of mutual interest were touched upon. –06B-
