The issue of political prisoners in Azerbaijan is on the agenda of the PACE session
Strasbourg / 17.01.19 / Turan: At the winter session in Strasbourg on January 27-31, 2020, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will elect a new president.
The presidents of Georgia and Moldova, as well as the Georgian Foreign Minister, as chairof the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers, as well as the newly elected Secretary General of the Council of Europe, will address the session.
The session’s agenda also includes the issue of political prisoners in Azerbaijan, which will be considered on January 29.
Deputies will also discuss threats to media freedom and the safety of journalists and other issues. —06D-
