The candidate for deputies "kidnapped" in front of the CEC
Baku / 18.02.20 / Turan: Khalid Bagirov, a candidate for deputy, was detained on February 18 at 15:30 in front of the CEC building by police officers, put into a car and taken away in an unknown direction.
This happened before the eyes of numerous journalists.
Police squads drove women candidates from the Central Electoral Commission building: Rabia Mammadova and Nurlana Jalil, who were required to leave. After some time, the women were allowed to return.
The candidates themselves stated that they had come to the CEC to express dissatisfaction and demand an answer to the question: why did the CEC forward their complaints about falsifications to the place where the falsifications were committed, that is, to the District Electoral Commission.
According to the candidates, the CEC ignores their protests and does not intend to investigate objectively the facts of violations during the voting in the elections to the Milli Majlis on February 9. -02B-
