The National Council Denied Appeal to Putin
The National Council of Democratic Forces denied media reports that this structure ostensibly addressed to the President of Russia to expedite the issue of withdrawal of Rustam Ibrahimbekov from Russian citizenship.
In this regard, the head of the executive office of the National Council Eldar Namazov said that such information has no basis.
"There is no appeal of the National Council on the matter. The reports in the press are not justified," Namazov said and added that only its head, the head of the executive office and the press office can speak on behalf of the National Council.
Note that the head of the National Council Rustam Ibrahimbekov is a single opposition candidate in the presidential election. He is a citizen of Azerbaijan and Russia. According to the law, the presidential candidate of Azerbaijan can not have dual citizenship, so Ibrahimbekov appealed to Russian authorities about leaving the citizenship of that country. -03D-
