The National Day of the Czech Republic is celebrated in Baku
Baku/28.10.23/Turan: On October 27, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Azerbaijan organized a reception on the occasion of the National Day of this country. In his welcoming speech, Czech Ambassador Milan Sedlacek noted that new challenges and threats have appeared in the changing global world. Technological progress and globalization have accelerated the dynamics of the development of social relations.
Touching upon bilateral relations, he drew attention to "similar processes in the history of the Czech Republic and Azerbaijan, and, in particular, the loss of part of the sovereign territories, their occupation and subsequent return." It is from this point of view that he "assesses" the current processes and stabilization in Karabakh.
"Unlike some politicians, I am an eyewitness to the processes taking place on the spot. I wish the peoples of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic peace and tranquility," the Minister said.
In turn, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Fariz Rzayev noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
"Our relations are based on mutual respect. The two countries are consistently engaged in a political dialogue, expanding ties in various fields. I hope that strategic ties will develop through joint efforts," the Azerbaijani diplomat said. ---16C---
