The Netherlands is an example of the right attitude towards citizens, ex-president of Latvia
Former Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga called the Netherlands "a vivid example of a model of the state respecting the rights of citizens." Speaking in Baku at the Global Forum in Baku, she pointed out that states are divided into two categories - those where the power is seized by criminal elements, managers of criminal methods and states that respect the rights of their citizens. "The Netherlands is the example of a state that fully ensured the rights of its citizens, who established the most correct relations between the state and the citizen," she said. Touching upon the role of Azerbaijan, Vike-Freiberga stressed that the country has geopolitical significance in the region, having become a transport center of the region, and has serious energy reserves.
The statement of the ex-president of Latvia on the Netherlands was sounded against the backdrop of strained relations between Turkey and the Netherlands, as well as statements of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, which condemned the authorities of the Netherlands. -71D-
