The new head of the Turkish General Staff described the mutiny
The General Staff of Turkey named conspirators and brought new data on the victims of the coup. Deputy head of the General Staff General Umit Dundar said that the instigators of the coup attempt were troops from the Turkish Air Force, as well as military police. He said that the army elite opposed the revolt, and many generals were taken "in an unknown direction," reported by Reuters.
Dundar also cited recent data about the victims of the rebellion and detained: 104 rebels were killed, 90 people died, including 47 civilians; 1154 people were injured;1563 involved in the coup were detained. Dundar was put in charge of the General Staff after reports of abduction by rebels of the Turkish Armed Forces, Hulusi Ankara. On Saturday morning, the authorities reported that Ankara is released and safe.
