The opening of the first section of the Baku-Guba road - the border of the Russian Federation
Baku/28.12.20/Turan: The first 30-kilometer section of the new Baku-Guba-state border with Russia was opened on Monday with the participation of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. This route is an integral part of the North-South international transport corridor.
The site opened today is located between the villages of Yashma and Gilyazi of the Khizi region.
According to the official statement, the construction of a new highway is currently being completed on another section - between the village of Gandob, Shabran region and the village of Samur, Gusar region. It is shorter than the previous one by 13 kilometers.
The construction of the remaining sections of the road is to be completed in the second half of next year.
The new track will be paid. The cost of payment will depend on the mileage and the type of transport - freight and passenger.
The distance from Baku to the border with Russia is over 200 km. – 06D-
