The State Commission identified the remains of 15 people found in the liberated territories
Baku/18.08.23/Turan: The investigation and the examinations identified 15 people whose remains were found in mass graves in the territories liberated from the Armenian occupation, the head of the Working Group of the State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons Ismail Akhundov stated at the briefing.
He presented a list of the names of these persons, most of whom are Azerbaijani soldiers who were captured by the Armenian Army in various years:
Ibrahimov Valiaddin; Abdullayev Nurali; Gurbanov Nofyal; Rustamov Araz; Abbasov Maharram; Niftaliev Adyl; Garayev Gafar; Huseynov Ali; Huseynov Gulverdi; Mikailov Baba; Isaeva Senam; Azizov Yusif; Musayev Mehman; Allahverdiev Shamsaddin; Mammadov Asad.
Mass graves were found in several places. The last burial was found on the territory of the Shusha prison, which was under Armenian control from May 1992 to November 2020. Hundreds of Azerbaijani prisoners have been held in Shusha prison for all these years.

On February 3, the trial of public activist Nijat Ibrahim will begin in the Baku Serious Crimes Court. This decision was made on Wednesday at a preparatory hearing by Judge Aygun Gurbanova. According to lawyer Zibeida Sadigova, Ibrahim was taken to court in handcuffs. There were guards sitting next to him throughout the whole process.
