The state of emergency  cancelled in Turkey

Baku/18.07.18/Turan: The state of emergency imposed by the Turkish authorities on July 20, 2016 after the coup attempt was cancelled on 18 July. The Turkish authorities stressed that "the fight against terrorism will continue and the necessary laws will be adopted." Thus, the draft measures for the period after the cancel of the state of emergency were submitted to the parliament.

The project provides for restricting the access of individual citizens to a number of provinces if there is a suspicion that these citizens may "disturb public order".

In addition, a list of justifications for the prohibition of rallies has been expanded.

The state of emergency has been observed in Turkey for two years, and according to the Turkish news agency Bianet, more than 228,000 people were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the coup attempt; more than 134,000 civil servants were fired; cases were filed against 17,089 users of social networks on charges of propaganda of terrorist organizations or incitement to hatred; 174 media outlets, 1414 NGOs, 145 funds, 15 universities and 19 trade unions were closed. -02D-
