The Strasbourg Court is preparing a decision on the case of Ali Insanov
PACE President, Jacques-Claude Mignon, replied to the letter of Ali Insanov, the convicted former health minister of Azerbaijan.
Mignon said that the case the European Court of Human Rights carefully monitored the case and the information from the court, and the court ruling on the complaint of Insanov will soon be made public, Turan was told by the lawyer of Insanov, Togrul Babaev.
Insanov was arrested in October 2005 on charges of attempting to overthrow the government. He was subsequently sentenced to 11 years for economic crimes. Insanov is recognized by local and international human rights organizations as a political prisoner. —06B--
