Today in Ganja Serious Crimes Court held a preparatory meeting in the case of Armenian military Arsen Baghdasaryan, born in 1994, accused of sabotage and attempted murder. The judge Elbey Allahverdiev appointed the trial for April 13, the trial will be closed, according to a source in court. At the same time, it is impossible to get an answer to the question if Baghdasaryan recognized himself guilty. On April 7 a preliminary hearing on the case of the Armenian military Arsen Baghdasaryan opened in the Court of Grave Crimes in Ganja. He crossed the front line on December 26, 2014 and was arrested. The Azerbaijani side considers him a member of a reconnaissance and sabotage group.
Sources in the court told Turan Baghdasaryan has been provided an interpreter and a lawyer and is contained in a special cell in the Ganja detention facility.
A number of serious charges have been put against him, including attempted murder, sabotage, etc. On these articles he faces up to 15 years in prison.
The Armenian side claims that at the time of capture Baghdasaryan was not a military and he moved to the Azerbaijani side by accident. -02D-
