The trial of the ex-Chief executive of the Neftchala region
Baku/21.05.21/Turan: A trial in the case of Ismail Veliyev, the former chief executive of the Neftchala region and other officials of the region has begun in the administrative building of the Sabunchi district court chaired by Nizami Guliyev. On the first day, the personal data of the defendants were clarified. The trial is scheduled for May 31.
In February 2020, the State Security Service conducted an operation in the Neftchala region. As a result the head of the district executive power Ismail Veliyev, his first deputy Vurgun Akperov, the head of the department of architecture and construction Vugar Nagiyev, the head of the department for administrative management and work with local self-government bodies Anar Jafarov, head physician of the Central Hospital of the region Telman Zahidov and head of the education department Azhdar Kerimov were detained on suspicion of bribe taking. -16D-
