Trial of Editor of PS. Nota Starts
On October 2 in the Khatai district court a preliminary hearing is scheduled on the case of the editor of PS. Nota Sardar Alibeili. Turan was told by the lawyer Samir Isayev.
Alibeili is charged under Article 221.3 (hooliganism committed with a weapon). He was arrested on the complaint of a Namik Amirov, although Alibeili said that he did not know him.
Previously the editor was detained several times because of the critical and insulting publications in his newspaper.
Alibeili's colleagues believe this time the cause of his arrest was critical notes and a collage of the head of state Ilham Aliyev placed on the page in Facebook, as well as the publication by expatriate Isa Sadygov. -03B06-
