The US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta gave an Iftar dinner in his residence on July 13 on the occasion of Ramadan. The event was attended by representatives of official bodies, religious and public figures and MPs.
The Ambassador spoke of religious tolerance in Azerbaijan, noting that the Azerbaijani people should be proud of this heritage and share their experiences in this matter.
According to him, the annual Iftar dinner is not only for Muslims in the United States and Azerbaijan, but also for all the Muslims of the world.
"In America, there are 2.6 million Muslims, until 2030 they will be 6.2 million or 2% of the population," said the Ambassador.
