Visit of the Foreign Minister of the Gambia
Baku / 08.06.18 / Turan: On June 8, the head of state Ilham Aliyev received the delegation of the Gambia, headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Usain Darboy and the Minister of Labor and Infrastructure of this country, Bai Lamin Jobe.
During the meeting, the sides discussed cooperation in the framework of the Non-Aligned Movement, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the United Nations.
Usain Darboy expressed support for "fair position of Azerbaijan on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and stressed that the President of the Gambia strongly condemns the occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia."
During the conversation, it was noted the importance of determining the prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Gambia in various spheres of bilateral relations, including in the economic sphere.
Today, issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting of the delegation of the Gambia with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov. -02D-

On Monday, the Baku Appeals Court considered the appeal of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov against the extension of his detention for another four months. The defense argued that the decision to extend Abilov's detention was unjustified, lawyer Fariz Namazly told reporters.
