World Bank allocates grant for internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan
Baku/02.06.23/Turan: The World Bank has allocated 2 million US dollars in the form of a grant to improve the living conditions of internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan.
According to the World Bank, on June 2, a grant agreement was signed with the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons on financing a project to improve the living conditions of internally displaced persons in Azerbaijan.
The three-year project will be funded by the Micro-Construction Fund, which is managed by the World Bank. The aim of the project is to increase civic engagement, technical skills and income generation opportunities for vulnerable families.
"Today, the prospects for the return of many internally displaced persons to their homes are clearer. We hope that the implementation of this project will help steps for the prosperous future of this category of people," said Sarah Michael, World Bank Manager for Azerbaijan. -03B06-
