Yerevan Repeatedly Says It Will Not Give Consent to Accession of Azerbaijan to CSTO
Baku / 10/24/18 / Turan: Spokesman for the Armenian Foreign Ministry Anna Naghdalyan confirmed the position of official Yerevan that Armenia would not allow Azerbaijan to join the CSTO and the EAEU.
At a press briefing on October 24, the Foreign Ministry spokeswoman noted that if the issue of Azerbaijan"s accession to the CSTO is put on the agenda, Armenia will use all relevant tools. Earlier it was stated that in such a case, Armenia will use the right of veto.
It should be noted that previously a number of officials of Azerbaijan and Russia announced the possibility of Azerbaijan"s joining the Collective Security Treaty Organization. These statements provoked a negative reaction from Yerevan, which stated that it would not give consent to this. -02B-
